The Chamonix valley holds some of the world's most classic and exciting skiing. The Grand Montet, La Brévent/Flegere, Le Tour, and Les Houches offer on and off piste skiing for all abilities- the scenic views are a bonus. Speaking of views, the mythic Vallé Blanche descends from the summit of the Aiguille du midi, and traces a glaciated alpine valley all the way into Chamonix (conditions permitting). There's also Les Contamines de Montjoie, Samoens, Flaine, and St. Gervais close by.
The size and vertical elevation possible in European ski areas can be overwhelming to the unexpecting visitor- I'll do my best to optimise your vacation time taking you to (and from) the best lines in the best condition anywhere in the valley, from the lifts or from the trailhead, all the while assuring group security.
One of the advantages of living here is an intimate knowledge of the developing snowpack and glacial change as the season progresses, and thus a better chance of avoiding danger. I'm also happy to share what I've learned on an instructional basis, to further your personal progression in the mountains.
